Dimocrats Get Caught With Hands In The Cookie Jar: MSM Sleeps In Denial

Hmm...the sweetheart deals doled out by Countrywide CEO  seem to have, astoundingly, inordinately benefited Dimocrats.  However, sweetheart real estate deals are not something the MSM are interested in.  Besides, Comrade Obama knows a thing or two about sweetheart real estate deals, benefiting he and his family were deals from his favorite felonious fund raiser Tony Rezko...but that too seems to be off limits to all but a few investigative reporters.
 
Following the resignation of Jim Johnson from Comrade Obama's vice presidential committee is more than likely just the tip of the iceberg.  The former Clintonista Johnson, head of Fannie Mae much of Clinton's presidency, received loans from Countrywide with the stamp of CEO Angelo Mozilo, it is good to be a friend of Mozilo.  Just ask Dodd and Sen Kent Conrad.  Fees for loans were waived in the VIP program at Countrywide, and it seems, that rates were very favorable!  There is nothing in the loans that would leave me to believe they were anything but a handout to powerful Senate insiders- so much for change, eh, Comrade Obama?
 
Most loans that are created for very large mortgages- yes, the infamous jumbo loans- carry rates well above "conventional loans."  Dodd and Conrad both received loans with no "points" attached.  Great deal an a $1 million mortgage.  One point equals one percent of the loan.  I, as an employee, of a major bank do not get such favorable costs cuts.  We have paid a point on every loan generated by the bank, some fees are reduced, never waived.  And, boy we get a 1/4 point discount on most loans/lines.  Now while a very good deal, one that no other lender can match in our case and has helped us out in the long run, I would never pick up the phone, talk to a mortgage guy and expect a free lunch!
 
Now, mind you, if I were an ignorant consumer and called, oh let's say 3 banks, got 3 quotes and did my comparison shopping, I too would take a jumbo with no points and below market interest rates.  I'd dance all the way to the bank to sign those papers.  It is easy to have the auditors of the federal govenment go in and look at the books at Countrywide and see if the deals were standard practice.  Were Sneators, Congressmen and policymakers given special treatment, or were these deals merely standard practice?  Not only at Countrywide but industrywide.  If Joe Sixpack with the same income, same credit scores and the same character received the same loan, well then I'd have to question Countrywide's credit policy and the  CEO's decision making on creating bad loans that add nothing or little to the bottom line.  The losses at Countrywide are disgusting- and the CEO should be fired.
 
Should Congress call for a Special Investigation?  You bet!  And I am a betting man, but in this case I'll take the odds- Congress, sorry the Dimocratic Congress will never investigate it's own lawbreaking.  Who knew, what did they know and when did they know it?  If I were Chris Dodd sitting on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, which oversees America’s financial institutions, no less, I would have made sure that I paid every fee that Joe Sixpack, even Joe CEO Sixpack paid.  If it were a Republican, there is no doubt that the Congressional  hound dogs would be released.
 
So, I call on Comrade Obama to do the right thing.  Call for the Special Prosecutor, or in the very least Senate and House investigations.  Deny the Banking Committees and Finance Committees the duty, and call on oh I don't know how about the junior committees that are responsible for writing laws pertaining to Highway funding, or disaster preparedness.
 
Change we can believe in, that's Comrade Obama's- yea, the messiah's- mantra.  Every day we are reminded that Comrade Obama is a different kind of Dimocratic Nominee.  Prove it.  Show it.  Make the knees of every Senator and House member quake in their boots, waiting for the inquiries into their business dealings.  If you can call for the suing of OPEC, and the spectacle that is the questioning of Big Oil execs I think a few hours of Countrywide business dealings is a good thing.  Haul Chris Dodd and Kent Conrade up on the Senate floor and make them answer the questions- "You can'th hndle the truth!"  In fact, Comrade Obama, you too should be questioned about your sweetheart real estate deals!

Back to the 90's Comrade Obama Style: Global War on Terror Becomes Global Law Enforcement- Clinton Redux

Comrade Obama made an appearence on ABC News touting the Clinton policy of fighting the war against terrorists.  In light of the recent liberal wing of the Supreme Court ruling that Terrorists have rights, Comrade Obama is right on schedule.
 
Citing the example of Guantanamo Bay, Obama cited "the first attack against the World Trade Center, (when) we were able to arrest those responsible, put them on trial. They are currently in U.S. prisons, incapacitated."
So incapacitated that the terrorists were able to attck the USS Cole, our Embassies, and finish the job on the Twin Towers!  Now, in addition foreign enemies deserve the same protections as US citizens.  No mention of the fact that defense attorney's get discovery:  give the terrorists in jail sensitive information on intelligence gathering capabilities and personnel.  Not to mention that the terrorists that attacked in 1993 were in New York, not Waziristan or Afghanistan.  We haven't been attacked in nearly 7 years, a record that President Bush can happily look on in his retirement.  And, couple that with the fact that criminal charges and indictments are handed out AFTER THE FACT.  When a nuclear bomb, or dirty bomb, goes off in L.A. or N.Y. it will be too late, way too late.
 
If you were not scared before about the change that Comrade Obama touts is nothing more than a rehash of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.  Can we afford that?

Comrade Obama Speaks: Can't Drill Ourselves Out of High Prices

Once again, Comrade Obama must remind us, the citizens of the United States, that we are selfish consumers of energy.  As he has reminded us on several occasions:
"Well, here's the problem.  We account for about 3% of the world's oil reserves. 
We use about 25% of the world's oil.  We can't drill our way out of the problem."
From a speech on Saturday.
Comrade Obama has made this claim before.  He has alternately said that the United States is 3% of the world's population, and now the claim that we account for 3% of the world's oil reserves.  It doesn't really matter, his point is all the same.  We are either wasteful or selfish in our use.  Gosh, never does he mention the Chinese and their increased consumption.  His Comrades in Red China are moving farming families from rural areas to cities with, oh dear me, dreams of better lives.  Lives that include telephones, cars, homes with tv.s and are increasing their desire for eating something other than rice and fish.  Nope, never passes Comrade Obama's lips that China and India and the wrold for that matter are moving from agrarian lives to urban lives. But I digress, the point as Comrade Obama wants to make is that the American population is the cause of it's own pain, and we need to cut back.  As we continue to consume and expect low prices for everything, the world is not going to sit back and accept it.
 
Yep, Comrade Obama, I am pretty sure that the farmer or worker in China is pondering the rise in the price of his/her rice as being the fault of the guilty American middle-class (better, the ubiquitous soccer mom) teacher filling up her Yukon.  Poor, poor Chinese, the ugly American has again (as in Jimmy Carter's day) caused the world's pain.
 
I wish to take just a moment to talk about what Comrade Obama refuses to speak about.  Never does Comrade Obama continue his argument past the 25% consumption.  The fact that we consume 25% of the world's oil never is coupled with what we produce!  We produce 21% of the world's goods and services, according to The World Fact Book- US GDP was $13.84 Trillion versus GWP of $65.61 Trillion...
 
So, I ask you, do we as a nation over consume the world's resources?  If the United States is hit with confiscatory tax rates that cause natural reallocation of resources, is that what we want, is that what the world wants?  If the US business community is hit with Universal Healthcare that puts a drag on the economy, will that be a positive development? 
 
If we factor in the per capita numbers it is even more important: US per capita GDP is $44,974 while the per capita GWP is $10,956.  In these per person numbers the US produces 410% more than all other nations...
 
Yep, I am pretty devastated that we consume so much.  I am looking forward to Comrade Obama continuing to tell me what I can drive, where I can live, how large a home I may have, what my thermostat must be set at, when and where I will have my healthcare provided.  Hmmm, what else can Big Brother Comrade Obama and his change agents regulate, require, pay, control?
 
And, speaking of change agents, this new changed government is looking more and more Clintonian: Al Gore (UN Ambassador- World Representative for Global Warming, oops, sorry, that's now Climate Change), Eric Holder (US Attorney General), we've heard from John Kerry...it's looking more less like change and more like the same old liberal faces pandering the same old socialism and redistributive economic policies.  Comrade Obama is just the only new face.

Comrade Obama on Social Security, Retirement Savings Cure, and Spending

Hold on to your wallets, Comrade Obama is proposing to raise taxes, just a wee bit to help solve the Social Security crisis.  His plan, according to his website: raise the tax due on earnings greater than $102,000.  Right now Social Security is paid at a rate of 6.2% on earnings up to $102,000, now his plan will raise the limit to...oh wait, it's not stated...$150,000?...$200,000...$250,000? Recall, he has said on numerous occasions that he would save the Middle Class by not raising taxes on those earning $250,000.  As I have said before that number is going to fluid...if he can't raise enough taxes that $250,000 will become $200,000...$150,000.  There is no true definition of the evil "rich." 
 
Also, if you are self-employed, the tax for Social Security is twice the going rate.  Ouch, that means that there will be fewer willing to take the risk when taxes will be so high.  Every liberal, especially those who espouse income redistribution, denies the fact that when tax rates go down, tax revenues go up.  That fact is lost on comrade Obama's desire to build collective institutions and organizations, his words!
 
Comrade Obama is also going to require businesses to automatically set up retirement accounts for their employees to "voluntarily contribute."  Two things in that plan, forced savings of employees and a cost to employers to set it up.  Ah, but it will cost the government nothing, even though in the next breath Comrade Obama says that the government will match the contribution.  No cost?  WTHeck?  If the government pays it, in Comrade Obama's mind it belongs to the bureaucrat not the people that pay the taxes...
 
Spending by Comrade Obama on his income redistribution plans exceed $343 Billion, new spending added to that (every day is a new give away) and we could be headed toward higher taxes and higher spending.  Comrade Obama's plan take from the few (top 1% pay 29% of taxes, top 5% pay 59% source National Taxpayers Union) and gives to the masses.  If you were in the lower tax paying percentiles wouldn't you vote for that?  That's the Dimocrat Plan...POWER
 
If Comrade Obama becomes president this economy will fold under the weight of taxes, and businesses will not be created.  Go read the Greatest Story Never Told: Today’s Economy in Perspective.

Update: Following maggie's comment that Comrade Obama's plan sounds like Fred Thompson's private Social Security Plan I thought I would make some further comments regarding Comrade Obama's retirement savings chimera...like many of Comrade Obama's spending initiatives this one is undefined.  Unlike Sen. Thompson's plan, like President Bush's in the past, there is no definition as to where the money would be invested.  More than likely it would merely be credited to "social security" government account.  That would place the funds in some nebulous trust fund controlled by, you guessed it, some bureaucrat.  Afterall, the government knows how best to "invest" your money.  In other words, it would put greater amounts of money that the government can grab, use today, issue an I.O.U. and give a paltry 2.0% return.  I hate to brag, but my stock portfolio is currently up a whopping 14% in 60 days!  I use that as an illistration, not for bragging rights, but I don't trust Uncle Sam to be the one investing my money.  Hell, SS is failing, MediCare is failing, we owe more money than we can pay back.  At some point, Uncle Sam is merely going to say, sorry, can't pay!  Or, more likely, Comrade  Obama will merely take us back to confiscatory tax rates that exceed 50% (estate tax or sadly death taxes- exceeded 70% from 1935-1981).  Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it... Thank God for Ronald Wilson Reagan and the end of tax lunacy, thank heaven for George W. Bush and his reduction of taxes, combined the two have created the greatest wealth boom in American History, and that of the world.  With it's ups and downs, as natural embodiments of the business cycle, every boat has lifted in the rising tide.  There should always be a safety net, for those who can't make it, but that net need not be so wide as to sink the ship upon it's harvest...

Comrade Obama: Gas Price Rising OK If...

Yep, he actually said it.  Comrade Obama has rationalized that the high price of gas (and, perhaps the commensurate* rises in all commodities) had it not occurred so rapidly (via HotAir):
 
Interviewer: "Do higher gas prices help us?"
 
Comrade Barack Hussein Obama: "I would have preferred a gradual adjustment..."
 
Comrade Obama is comfortable with the rise of the price of oil.  So much so that he believes it is helpful to the economy!  Had the adjustment occurred gradually, why, then it wouldn't have hurt the average American so dramatically.  Well, all we need to do is put more money into the hands of the people.
 
Hmmm...income redistribution.  Take money from the rich (presumably, the oil barrons- CEO's) and give it to those in need- the poor!  Huge problem there...can you, Comrade Obama, tell me how many jobs have been created by those in the lower income tax bracket- or for lack of a better term, the poor?  How many of those that you wish to "give" my money to will create a single job?
 
Additionally, who pays the "windfall tax" that you are proposing to nail the "Big Oil" companies with?  Is it the CEO?  Or will they merely raise the price of a gallon of gas, thereby charging it to the average consumer, raising prices even further?  What is your basic undersanding of supply and demand?  Raising prices lowers demand, and vice versus?  Did you take Econ 101 at Columbia?
 
The basic tenant of the Dimocratic Party is to increase individual dependency via goverment expansion.  Higher gas prices means the average Joe will begin to use "mass transit," right?  Who runs the busses?  The trains? 
Etc...some low level bureaucrat.  Nice, job security.
 
The Dimocrats are heavily invested in the slowdown of the economy, perhaps even the
 "oncoming depression."  The Dims are delighted to see unemplyment increase...
here's a small anecdote as to how the Dimocrats are heavily invested in throwing the
coat of dependency upon an unaware (nay- might one say duped) society:
 
Raise the minimum wage rate...gradually, right...create a living wage...so, who wins and loses
when employers are forced to raise the minimum wage?  Does the employer win?  Does the
 employee?  Does a teenager just beginning his/her career- or merely working to help
purchase that Prom Gown???
 
 
According to Investors Business Daily (June 10, 2008):
The minimum wage was hiked 14% to $5.85 an hour last July. Next month, it will go up an additional 12% to $6.55 an hour.
In July 2009, it’s slated to rise 10.7% to $7.25 an hour.
  
If you have to shell out an added 40% over three years to employ thoseunproductive workers, as isnowhappening,
you’ll likely find a good reason not to do so—unless it’s absolutely necessary.
 
Economist David Neumarkof the University of California, Irvine, has found a 10% minimum wage hike
cuts employment of young, unskilled workers by 8.5%. As Kristen Lopez Eastlick of the L.A. Examiner
noted, “In the past 11 months alone, the U.S.’ minimum wage has increased by more than twice that amount.”
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
So, higer wages means fewer hired.  Goodness, the oil companies are making so much money that ExxonMobil has said it will be getting out of the retail gas business. 
 
So, I ask you, does Comrade Obama have an answer to higher gas prices.  You bet he does!  It's called higher gas prices!  Then we will all move to the hybrids that the Dims want us to drive daily...the govenment can then regulate how much "carbon footprint" we are able to excrete on a daily basis.  The Dimocrats will tell us what our thermostats will be set at...
 
"Windfall profits tax" takes the incentive away from the oil companies that would be either spent on R&D or spent on expanding the supply we already have.  We can become more energy self sufficient- not by taxing and taking, but rather open drilling in ANWAR, off the Continental Shelf- China and Cuba are drilling closer to the US mailnad than we are...
 
Comrade Obama is going to have to pry my dead cold body out of my Ford Expedtition!  The vote in 2008 is one of the most important (if not THE most important) election of my lifetime.  I thought Communism and socialism died with the USSR.  But, Comrade Obama is looking at ways to take money from my family, and those who actually try to meet a payroll to those who will more than likely buy cigarettes and booze.  Prices will not fall, but as we learned in the Jimmy Carter experiment, prices will skyrocket and (and this is very important) we will be faced with shortages and scarcity...
 
The two candidates pose diametrically opposed economic, social and moral issues.  Senator John McCain is the right choice, whereas Comrade Obama will bring back the gas lines, the misery index, and, this is key, we will be less safe as well.  6 years without an attack on the homeland.  I am saddened to say that sometime in 2009 al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden will find a way to strike...

*The spike in wholesale foodstuffs (i.e.: corn, beef, chicken, etc.) has occurred because of the mandated Ethanol requirements.  Sometimes the cure is worse than the condition.  It takes $1.25 to create $1.00 worth of ethanol energy- that's smart, huh?  Farmers are disincentivized to grow other soodstuffs, like soy beans, greenbeans, etc., as they are paid more for corn to be used in the manufacture of Ethanol- if you are an Iowa farmer, you love it.  If, however, you rely upon corn as a foodstuf, guess what, there's less to be used for feeding your cattle, pigs, chickens...so it costs more to feed the livestock- thus commodities prices are skyrocketing- unintended consequences of doing what "sounds" politically correct.  I haven't even begunto talk about the speculators out there in the markets either...this country relies upon cheap oil to produce everything from plastics to feeding the world...go figure.  Put politicians in charge of the hen house and watch the foxes come out to play!!!
 
**If this nation suffered under the worst president in history, untested, plain spoken, Southern Governor- James Earl Carter, we can ill afford a presidency by a (not even) 1 term Senator from Illinois who has no executive ex[erience, no military background, no diplomatic experience, no business experience.  A man who has surrounded himself by some rather dubious characters: Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright, Rev. Pflegar, etc.  And, who just admitted that he is not vetting his core advisors that will be helping select his vice presidential runningmate.  He had chosen former CEO of Fannie Mae (Comrade Obama has called mortgage financiers some of the most corrupt figures in history).  He also has (or had- these guys cut bait so quickly, who knows) selected Eric Holder to the same task.  Those who may not be familiar, Eric Holder was one of the attorneys responsible for the last minute pardons of President Bill Clinton- including that of the controversial (nay criminal) pardon of Marc Rich.  Gee, the only person on Comrade Obama's search team for VP is Caroline Kennedy...
 
***Yep, I am convinced of Comrade Obama's ability to create a team around him that will be of the new strain of politicians- those that are most reliable to help him in his quest for bipartisanship, for changing THE Washington way...yep, I am convinced of the character that Comrade Obama has shown, and of those he has selected to be his "vetters."  Oh, yes, his 'Bipartisanship" has been on display for his entire political career, in fact I can name all of his acheivements to reach out to the other side-  there was Comrade Obama and...oh, wait there was Comrade Obama and...oh, I am sure I can think of one...comprhensive immigration reform, nope, education reform, nope, wait, I am sure he's worked on campaign contribution reforms...banking, highways...damn, I can't think of one major, or even one small...yep, this is the man we need for change in Washington, for commander of chief...oh that reminds me of a speech he gave on Memorial Day:

Comrade Obama's Fundraiser: Guilty

It seems to be par for the course for the San Diego Union-Tribune, and most likely all of the MSM news rags; Antonin "Toni" Rezko was convicted on 16 of 24 counts of fraud and money laundering.  It was, of course, buried on Page A7.  Maybe Page A7 should be a new section, called the News Burial Site(?).  It is rather telling how Comrade Obama's relationships with shady, racist, terrorists is treaed by the MSM.
 
The tough questions need to be asked of Obama.  These questions need to be pressed, not in a forum of prepared comments, but rather while Comrade Obama must defend them off the cuff.  Comrade Obama excels at his speaking engagements where he easily hits his stride.  No one can take anything away from him when he is speaking, his oratorical style is phenomonal.  When he hits his stride the masses swoon, in fact, some have fainting spells.  He is treated as though he were the second coming...
 
Someone ask:
  • Please explain your relationship with Tony Rezko
  • Explain the real estate deal that Tony executed on your behalf
  • To what extent have funds provided by Rezko funded your campaign, current and past fundraising- some have said Rezko has donated several hundred thousand dollars
  • Explain your efforts ias a legislator to funnel money to pet projects by your friend and mentor Father Phlegar
  • From Comrade Obama's speech before the AIPAC (Jewish lobbying group): explain what you by the Palestinians deserve a "contiguous state."
  • Please expalin your definition of "bipartisanship"...your Senate record reveals no legislation of any import that you sponsored, in fact your record is  non-exsitent
  • What major legislation do you consider your greatest effort
The tough questions are never asked of Comrade Obama.  He shuns press conferences where he has to think on his feet.  The MSM can no longer treat Comrade Obama with kid gloves.  Someone needs to lay on the boxing gloves.  Thank goodness for the New Media, as Comrade Obama can no longer ger away with so little scrutiny.
 
Senator McCain has to press his desire for Comrade Obama to go before crowds that are prepared to ask questions.  Hopefully, those questions will be challenging.  At least Sen. McCain has a long history of bipartisanship, whether or not as a Conservative we agree or disagree.  No one take that away from McCain.

McCain is the Republican nominee.  As Conservatives we must embrace him, support him with all necessary vigorousness, warts and all.  Republicans have to shake off the doldrums and step up in order to keep the radically liberal dimocratic nominee, Comrade Obama, he makes (as I said yesterday) McGovern look downright Reaganesque.  I have and will continue donating funds and my precious time to McCain's campaing.  We must ensure that these efforts also affect the down ticket vates, as well. All attempts by the left to compare Comrade Obama to the success of the Great Communicator are falacious, at best, and an abomination to anyone that has studies Reagan.
 
These are serious times and require serious committment to ensure that Comrade Obama is defeated, and not by a small margin, but by a huge Electoral landslide...

cultural traditions from its fast-growing immigrant communities.
The growth of legal and illegal immigrants in France and all parts of Europe is staggering.  The Muslim communities are growing so rapidly that some theorize that countries will become Muslim majorities.  Sharia law is creeping into the laws of the land.  In fact, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams has said, more or less, that it was a fait accompli. 
 
The Sharia creep has put European strides in women's rights in jeopardy.  Assimilation in Europe is shunned as politically incorrect.  The United States is not far behind.
 
These are serious times.  Times that may well portend a clash between Western Civilization and Muslim Civilization.  According to
al Qaeda and it's spawn conversion to Islam is required, not by the spread of ideas/ideals, but rather by the sword.  Those who do not convert are legitimate targets for death, in most cases in the most heinous ways.  And woman are subject to humiliation, in the least, mutilation (female castration) and honor killlings.
 
This is a disturbing pattern...

Comrade Obama's goal will be to consolidate power into the hands of the government.  Imagine , if you will, some bureaucrat(s) making decisions for you and your family regarding:
  • Healthcare- Comrade Obama wants Universal Healthcare
  • Consumer Goods Consumption- afterall we "...eat as much as we want...," therefore bureaucrats will determine what you can eat
  • Gasoline Consumption- we also "can't drive our SUV's...," therefore the government bureaucrats will decide how much you may consume and/or when you can drive and for how long
  • Thermostats- your ever loving Comrade Obama will also decide what yout thermostat we be set at
  • Carbon Emissions- the governent is going to decide what your carbon footprint will be, Comrade Obama will stifle the economy, saddle the people of the United States with higer prices for everything
  • Free-Trade- there will be no new Free-Trade agreements, instead new agreements will mandate everything from job guarantees, labor protections, carbon-footprint, and again HIGHER prices for imports
  • Judicial Appointments- activist judges will be chosen to ensure that a worldview that throws the Constitution to the wolves, shredded for a new Weltanschauung, no longer will the Founding Father's thoughts, beliefs, writings, intentions will be set aside for the liberal Ideal's of Europe
  • Wind-fall Profit Taxes- the American Dream of success wil be supplanted with the Collective Salvation, not one new drop of oil will be pulled from huge oil deposits from ANWAR to the Coastal waters, instead Comrade Obama will take, TAKE, profits from evil Big Oil Corporations, investment in new technology will be snuffed out when the bureaucrats decide that the profits made by Venture Capitalists, CEO's, and money managers is too egregious, bye-bye stock invesments
  • Higher Taxes- the spending and out of control entitlements will cause taxes to rise percipitously, "the rich," identified by those earning $250,000, will eventually be redefined by those earning $200,000, then $150,000 and so on, you get the drift...
  • Defeat in Iraq- a withdrawal of troops  before victory will throw the Middle East into the hands of al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc.
  • Eurabia- as our troops are withdrawn from Iraq the jihadists will be emboldened to impose sharia law in Great Britan followed by the France and the domino effect will later cause the United States to ride in and rescue the Europeans
The harm that will face the United States of America will make the Carter Presidency pale in comparision.  4 years of dimocratic governing by Comrade Obama out of the White House aligned with majorities in the House and Senate will subject our economy to paroxysms of epic proportions.  Stagflation of the 70's/80's will make the 2000's feel like merry times.  The vote of 2008 will set the tone for a decade of misery and malaise, our guerdon will be a struggle to right the Titanic after hitting the iceberg...I tremble at the potential havoc that will become the USA...

This is going to be a fun election, with lot's of tid bits that percolate to the surface on Comrade Obama...there's got to be more, much more.  Will the general election spell the end of Comrade Obama's free ride?  Will the masses still be swooning at his every word?  His oratorical style aside, will his words truly be parsed?  Will the Collective Salvation supplant the American Dream?  Hmmm....Liberation Theology preached by the Reverend Wright and Reverend Phlegar is Socialism!  Comrade Obama sat in the pews of Trinity United Church for 20 years because he has fully embraced the theology and has found a way to sell it to the American left.  The Dimocrats are in trouble...

Comrade Obama: "Collective Service Can Shape Our Destiny"

I can take it no longer.  I can no longer sit back and listen to the stuff that comes out of Obama's mouth (heretofore referred on this blog as Comrade Obama).  Nor can I sit back and be silent.  Every time I listen to him I am amazed at what comes out of his mouth.  The claptrap that he spews is not just populist, it is downright socialist/communist!  He is so far leftist that he makes McGovern sound downright Reaganesque!  The Prairie Populist meets the Chitown Collectivist- I guess i can't go so far as to call him a communist, yet.
 
I sat back and listened when Comrade Obama was campaigning in Oregon and made the following claim:
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times...and then just expect that other countries are going to say okay.  That's not leadership," Obama added.  "That's not going to happen."
 
Whoa, did he really say that?  Did he really say that he was going back to the malaise of Jimmy Carter?  Did he really just that I can longer CHOOSE to drive my SUV?  Did he just make a comment that he is going to regulate what my thermostat is going to be set at?  We are no longer talking about giving American's choice, we are going to "lead" by taking choice away.  At the time I dropped my jaw, but kept silent.  WOW...I thought maybe, just maybe the left would notice that Comrade Obama is unelectable and set to drop the Dimocrats' chance at the presidency. 
 
Then, then Comrade Obama went toWesleyan University and made the following comments in the commencement speech:
"Our collective service can shape the destiny of this generation." And further he added, "Individual salvation depends on collective salvation."
Comrade Marx would be very proud of Comrade Obama!  WOW.  Did Obama listen to Reagan at all:
``...the march of freedom and democracy . . . will leave Marxist-Leninism on the ashheap of history.''
The calim by the National Journal is beginning to look prescient, award winner Barack Hussein Obama, 2007 Most Liberal Senator!
 
Phew, that is incredible stuff coming directly from Comrade Obama's mouth.  I would think that McCain is sitting back, laughing all the way to the bank (or in this case, to the White House).  If I were advising Sen. McCain, I'd tell him to go buy a lottery ticket!  He's the luckiest man alive.  All the McCain team and the GOP need to do is use Obama's word's.  Forget the stuff about Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Rev. Phlegar (sp?), etc.
 
Collectivism...salvation...when will we hear that we must abandon "the American Dream" for the collective salvation of the "World Dream?"  Is that even a dream?  No wonder Comrade Obama doesn't wear an American Flag pin on his lapel, he must have the "World Collective" lapel pin!
 
People of the United States of America put aside your selfish ambitions!  We will make you comply!  Your homes can no longer be as large as 3000 sq. ft.  Your thermostats can no longer be set at any higher than 79 degrees (actually, manufacturers can no longer produce thermostats that have settings below 80).  Your cars will have at least 40 mpg, and by 2012 must be 50% electric, with a goal of 100% alternative fuels by 2015...no person can have more than his/her ration of wheat, corn and tofu (beef/chicken and other meat products have been eliminated).
 
The American Dream is a nightmare according to Comrade Obama.  Who would have thought.  I remind Comrade Obama of the following quote by Ronald Reagan: 
"Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives."
So, for the duration of the election, it will be Comrade Obama.
