Well, the quote is generally attributed to
Mark Twain: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." Comrade Obama loves to give his lies and statistics. What Comrade Obama loves to say (and all of his lackeys primarily the Senate and House Dimocrats) are frequently that the US is 3% of the world's population (or produces 3% of the world's oil) and is consumes 25% of the world's oil. That makes the US a very selfish country, a country that consumes more than 8 times what it should.
Problem is, it is a damned lie and a twisting of the real statistics. We are creating products and services with that use of oil. The United States of America creates 21% of the world's Gross World Product! Comrade Obama is perpetuating a lie and twisting statistics to suit his effort to become the leader of the free world. The United States of America is not just a consumer of oil but rather it is the world's premier creator of wealth, goods and services.
This is the greatest nation on God's green earth. Certainly, there are ways for us to conserve, ways to make things a little greener. Let's not, however, cut our nose off to spite our face. And, the Senate/House Dimocrats are complicit in attempting to bring this economy to it's knees! They would rather see the slow down in our economic might in order to become the dominant force of power in the United States.
Here is what Senate Majority Leader (never met a real estate deal he could pass on, Comrade Obama could learna thing or two) had to say this weekend:
"The one thing we fail to talk about is those costs that you don't see on the bottom line. That is coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick; it's global warming. It's ruining our country, it’s ruining our world. We’ve got to stop using fossil fuel.”
Leadership in the United States would recognize that we need to move to foreign oil independence, first! Drill here, drill now! Lower prices! After securing our independence we can then move toward lessening our dependence on oil as the main driver of our economic power. The Dims believe it is the US that is killing the world. The US is the evil power in the world. It is time to stand up and be counted:
Comrade Obama's election as President of the United States and a Dimocratic Congress will kill, KILL, our economy, our judiciary, babies, military. Our safety will be sacrificed for political correctness. I am sorry to say that a return to Jimmy Carter's economic policies and Bill Clinton's law enforcement against terrorists will make us less secure, less safe, and there will be tremendous consequences.

I fear for our conutry when so many can be misled by mere words, and followed with such destructive policies...
